direct to garment

Direct to Garment (DTG) printing is one of our most popular services for a reason — it delivers vibrant, long-lasting prints directly onto fabric with precision and softness you can feel. Unlike traditional screen printing, DTG allows for full-colour designs, gradients, and intricate artwork without the need for setup fees or bulk minimums.

Whether you’re producing a single sample shirt or launching a limited-run drop, DTG offers the flexibility to start small without compromising on quality.

benefits and best use

No Minimums

Start small - perfect for limited drops, test samples. or a full run

Full Colour
Compatability

Ideal for gradients, shading, photos, or complex designs

Ultra-Soft Feel

Water-based inks absorb into the fabric, leaving a soft and thin feel

Best for 100% Cotton

Performs best on finely knitted cotton faced garments

Eco-Conscious Ink

We use water-based inks that are skin-safe and planet-conscious

Cost Calculations

Our pricing is based on the real ink usage per print, not a flat rate. That means you only pay for what your design actually uses — making it fairer and more scalable.

Garment Colour matters

Light Garments (white/heather grey): Lower cost, no pretreatment, no underbase

Dark Garments (black/navy/etc.): Requires pretreatment and a white ink underbase, increasing both time and cost

We use specialized spray treatment on dark garments before printing to ensure proper ink adhesion and wash durability.

design size and complexity

Smaller Prints (like chest logos): Lower Cost

Larger Prints (full front/back): Higher Cost

Oversized or Max Area Prints: Premium Pricing

We estimate ink consumption based on your design and garment colour. Dark garments require more ink due to a white underbase.

additional print locations

Base cost includes one side (Front OR Back)

Additional placements (e.g., sleeve, neck hit, second side) are calculated based on size and ink usagem, additional fees will also be included for pre-treatment if required

Limitations

Fabric Matters

DTG works best on 100% cotton and other high-cotton blends. Cotton absorbs the water-based inks properly, resulting in vibrant colour and a soft feel.

Polyester, nylon, and performance fabrics do not absorb DTG ink well, which can lead to fading, cracking, or ink washout over time.

Fleece and heavy textures can also cause inconsistent print results due to uneven surfaces.

Dark Garments

Printing on black or dark-coloured garments requires a special pretreatment spray and a white underbase to make colours pop.

This step increases labour, time, and cost, and sometimes results in a slightly stiffer feel where the ink is applied — especially on large prints.

Designs with subtle gradients or semi-transparent colours may behave differently on dark fabrics.

Print durability

DTG prints are durable when washed properly, but they aren’t indestructible.

High heat (like tumble drying on hot), heavy scrubbing, or bleach can reduce lifespan.

We recommend washing inside-out, cold water, and hang drying whenever possible to preserve print quality.
